AYYA, led by Toufic Alayyash, brings nearly two decades of international expertise to residential and commercial design. Based in Chicago, Toufic guides projects from their earliest concept, the “DNA stage,” through to completion. Born in Beirut and trained in interior architecture, he began his career across the Middle East before moving to the U.S. His work is shaped by the places that defined him: Beirut taught resilience, Dubai sparked innovation, and Chicago provided the foundation to grow. Today, he leads a collaborative studio creating interiors that reflect identity, evoke emotion, and remain timeless.

Montana Clasby shapes interiors at AYYA through materiality, refined selections, and intentional design. With a background in graphic design and an MBA in business, she pairs creative vision with strategy to deliver meaningful spaces. Born in New Zealand and raised across cultures by artist parents, she developed an approach defined by adaptability and global influence. At AYYA, she is known for selecting pieces that reflect a client’s identity to create spaces as heartfelt and deliberate as the people who inhabit them.

Haley Martin defines AYYA’s brand voice through visual storytelling and creative strategy. With a background in communications and a foundation in editorial writing, she developed an instinct for narrative that defines the firm’s distinct voice. Her love for design was sparked by film, set design, and fashion, guided by visionaries like Mona May who showed how environment and style shape story. At AYYA, she brings the voices of clients and collaborators to life through imagery and narrative that capture individuality in its most authentic form.

Heather Piper oversees the business operational workflows that support AYYA’s internal and external projects from inception to completion. With a multidisciplinary background in operations, project management, and client support, she brings a systems-driven approach that aligns people, process, and resources and ensures clarity and efficiency across the firm. Grounded in the belief that structure enables creativity, Heather builds systems that remove friction, strengthen communication, and support AYYA’s creative work. Outside the studio, Heather is grounded by her faith and inspired by the outdoors. She enjoys homesteading, running, and spending time in nature.
