This project sparked the beginning of AYYA—a pivotal commission. For a charming home in Uptown Chicago, this transformation honored the building’s architectural history while introducing a contemporary language tailored to modern living. The primary bathroom pays homage to tradition with black-and-white subway tile, mosaic flooring, and a custom walnut vanity, while the guest bathroom takes a bolder, more modern approach—introducing vertical textures and saturated tones that tie it seamlessly into the rest of the home. Thoughtful and personal, the design reflects both the past and the promise of what’s next.
